Service
Each vehicle has it's own servicing cycle based upon the engine type.
Each cycle consists of alternating three levels of service corresponding to the predicted key stages in the vehicle's life.
Standard Service | Standard Plus Service | Platinum Service
Hylton
will advise you of the type and content of the next service due when
the initial service is carried out, and when each subsequent service is
carried out.
The engine oil level should be checked at
least every 1,500 miles. The topping up of the oil level between
services is completely normal and failure to do so could lead to
serious engine damage.
In addition, there are special recommendation for the replacement of some of your vehicle's vital components.
Brake fluid - every 40,000 / 36,000 miles* or every 2 years.
Coolant - Hylton will advise you of the replacement interval, which is dependant on engine type.
Cambelt - Hylton will advise you of the replacement interval, which is dependant on engine type.
The airbag system and pre-tensioning seatbelts - every 10 years.
*mileage depends on engine type - petrol, indirect diesel or direct diesel - Hylton will advise you.

Standard Service
1. Note any body damage
2. Fit car protection kit
3. Check operation of lights
4. Check washers and wipers
5. Change engine oil
6. Fit new sump plug washer
7. Fit new engine oil filter
8. Check exhaust system condition
9. Check brake pipes and lines visually
10. Remove all wheels and check
11. Check front brake pads visually
12. Check rear brake pads/shoes
13. Inspect tyres and set pressures
14. Report on tyre tread depths
15. Pressure check cooling system
16. Check cooling system for leaks
17. Check antifreeze content
18. Check all drive belts (not cambelt)
19. Check all fluid levels
20. Add srceenwash and top up fluid
21. Check and adjust clutch cable freeplay

36. Check and adjust idle speed
